Product Description
These C-Record era brakes are often confused with Monoplaner brakes. While they are the same basic shape and era, true monoplaner brakes feature both arms "hinged" together. They are both in the same plane (thus mono-planer) and neither side is in front of the other like on these Athena D500 brakes and all other side pull brakes. Still, these are excellent brakes that have less maintenance issues than true Monoplaners. These are technically 1st version as in 1991 the brake shoes got rounded edges.
Condition
Near Mint lightly used shape. Arms are exceptionally clean and only have a few tiny scratches. Center cone is looks great (these are often found rusty). Pads are a bit worn and barrel adjuster o-ring is dirty. Show bike worthy
