Product Description
The B17 Champion Sprinter was introduced in 1925 and has been in production for over 30 years. Built for mile and half mile events, the Sprinter was the choice of track riders through the 1950’s and early 1960’s. This new edition is limited to 1925 pieces. This one is number 0788 out of 1925 made. It retailed for $350, and is out of production.
The saddle is made with a full titanium frame and rails, to come in at an incredible 380g (the standard B17 is 540g). Gorgeous dark brown leather and brass rivets.
The Sprinter was originally introduced in 1925, and ran through the late 1950's or very early 1960's. It was designed for the one mile and half mile sprint races, and was a favorite of track riders throughout the 50's and 60's. It is a faithful reproduction of the original design-wise, down to the pre 1960 oval logo with "made in Great Britain". The original was an unreasonable 114mm wide, and this edition has been widened to 133mm to make it palatable for more people.
Condition
Near mint lightly ridden, lightly broken in. The only significant wear to note is light rear corner scuffs and a bit of the "hazy" dye wear on top. Rivets, rails, frame in wonderful condition
