Product Description
Lovely three arm chrome chainset from Agrati, circa 1940's and 1950's. This one is a single ring, 1/8" for track/pista bikes, path racers, etc. Fluted arms.
Agrati, Way-Assauto, and Magistroni were the three premier Italian crank makers in the 1940's and 1950's. All three produced cranks with zero branding, their own branding, or branded for a bike maker (such as Legnano and Frejus). And to confuse the matter, they all make very similarly looking cranks! It seems the Agrati/WA/Magistroni branded parts are more rare than non or otherly branded parts.
Condition
Exceptional shape for the age, and it looks like it's seen very minimal use! Chrome is glorious and mostly unpitted. Chainring shows no visible tooth wear, and has quite minimal cosmetic wear. Arm ends are very lightly marked. Photos show condition accurately. Show bike worthy!
