56cm Giordana Capella Pista Frameset: Vintage 1990's Lugged Steel
Giordana bicycles were imported by GITA Bike, who are known for bringing names like Pinarello, Pegoretti, Colnago, and De Rosa to the USA. The Giordana name is GITA's house brand for Italian made clothing but from 1988-1991 they imported a line of bicycles under the name, built by Billato in Italy. Their models included the Capella Crono/Pista, Mira, Spica, Catamount, The Capella model designated their specialty discipline models, this is their track specific frame. It's lugged and built from Oria ML25 steel tubing (similar to Columbus Aelle). Great to build for use on a velodrome, or a fixie for street use. Fork is drilled for a brake.
Condition
Excellent or better lightly used shape. No dents/dings/bends/cracks/rust. Paint and decals look wonderful from 5 feet. Up close you'll notice a smattering of pinpoint to 2mm paint chips (mostly centered on the fork and stays).
