1992 Manitou One Suspension Fork (M1): 1" Threaded - Dry Elastomers (Mint)
Very clean example of an early Manitou fork, the first released after Answer bought Manitou. It is largely the same as the Doug Bradbury Manitou fork of 1991, but adds offset fork ends as well as Answer logos. This one is a one inch threaded version! Cosmetically it may be the most pristine M1 around! This belongs on a show bike! Early Doug Bradbury / Manitou FS, Yeti FRO/ARC, Fat Chance Yo Eddy, etc.
The elastomers have dried up rock hard, and this fork needs a rebuild to be ridden. Luckily, Suspension Fork Parts offers a rebuild kit for $59, and the rebuild process is rather simple. I plan to rebuild this at some point if it doesn't sell quickly, and the price will go up at least $100.
This fork appears to have been ridden very few miles, and sat to let the elastomers go hard. It is extremely close to mint cosmetically. The legs are very close pristine, only a few tiny marks barely worth mentioning. For example. the driveside leg "N" has a tiny scratch in it. Stanchions are perfect with no scratches, boots mint and not dry or dirty. Crown is almost mint. Dropouts / fork ends have a few marks, and light axle marks. Crown is very clean, no marks worth mentioning even on the underside. Arch has some marks on the cable hanger, and around the bolt holds but very clean otherwise. Once installed on a bike, it would be very hard to tell it has ever been ridden. Again, this fork needs a rebuild to function, see above.
