Product Description
Very rare Steve Potts Cross Country Racer from about 1989, hand TIG-welded by Steve himself in Mill Valley California. The CCR was Pott's more "production" frame, below his exquisite and very expensive fillet brazed Potts Signature with Type II fork. It features a Koski unicrown fork, and cantilever braze ons front and rear. Fastback stays and a press-fit bottom bracket round out the build.
Potts was one of the founders of Wilderness Trail Bikes, along with Charlie Cunningham and Mark Slate. Steve was the man behind the torch on the legendary WTB Phoenix.
Condition
Excellent used shape with original paint and decals. No dents, bends, or rust. Glossy, unfaded finish. Paint has it's fair share of chips and scratches, as well as some wrinkling on the underside of the downtube. Decals are pretty close to perfect, the only exception being in the center of the headtube decal. I think this one's in nice enough condition to justify preserving the original finish.
